Please let me know what you think at ail and don’t forget to donate to Nifty as they do an amazing job. I woke up to the smell of coffee and breakfast sandwiches. “Eat up lover. You’ve got about a half hour before the markets open. There’s a razor, toothbrush and a clean shirt in your bathroom. Get it in gear and kick ass Den.” I gave Karl one hell of a hug and a kiss, inhaled both the coffee and the sandwich and headed into the bathroom and got back out with a couple of minutes to spare. I made it out to Angelos desk and plugged in. “Well Mr Sawyer, we’ll see if the long night was worth it.” “We shall indeed. Did you watch the after market last night?” “I did and there wasn’t much of a reaction to the news.” “Then you think we might have over reacted?” “You did exactly what I think your father would have done.” By now I had figured out how to set up my terminal to watch certain stocks and to set alerts. I had done so on a set of Teramedies companies. Seemed everytime I looked there was an alert of some kind. Terameides companies were starting to tank out. “Now Mr Sawyer, what do you think will happen?” “With Teramedies companies tanking like they are? I figure a lot of folks are going to buy them cheap and hope to hell they rebound. I’m thinking that is a little to high risk for your average investor though.” “Quite right. Now,have you any idea what the recovery rate of any given company in the same situation?” “None whatsoever, but I can’t imagine it can be very good.” “And you’d be right. More than likely Teramedies Holdings will dissolve and pieces of it scarfed up by other companies. How many of those will be legit and how many just shells erdemli escort for other ‘families’ is going to be the tricky part.” “I’m getting a headache.” “I don’t doubt that in the least. All you can do is keep your ear to the ground as they say.” “Sounds like a good way to get stepped on.” “It very well could be, but now here comes the bell.” The morning started out slow but picked up rather quickly. I still wasn’t allowed to make trades but I did screen Angelos calls. Those that wanted to actually make trades I qued up for Angelo with who was on which line. He knew his clients better than I did and chose who to speak to and in which order. My day was pretty much reduced to telling clients how badly, if at all, they were going to be affected. More than one got offended that they were speaking with a trainee. I heard Angelo on more than one occassion come to my defense. I think Stan, Angelo, and I survived the day on pure adrenaline. 4:30 finally got there, but the phones kept right on ringing. So we stayed until they finally stopped about 5:30. I went to Stans office at that point. “How did we survive Stan?” “I think we did good Dennis. There were a few clients who didn’t agree with our analysis of the situation, but there always are. Now we just have to ride it out.” “Anything more we have to do tonight before we crash out?” “I don’t think so. Go home and get some sleep. It’s what I’m going to do.” “You don’t have to make that suggestion twice. See you in the morning.” Al managed to keep me awake on the way home and Karl followed. We had our supper and we crashed out fairly early tonight. The alarm went off right at 5:45 and I damn near threw it on the floor. “We can always ignore it lover.” “We could but that would leave Aaron and Roland hanging. Maybe we can get the blood pumping for the day.” “If you say so love.” We were up and out and Roland and Aaron were waiting on us. “Damn Den you look like thw walking dead.” “Yesterday was a hell of a 24 hours.” “Yeah I can imagine. I heard the report about the raid on Teramedies Industries. That must have caused pure havoc for you.” “It was a pain but we stayed up all night getting ready for it. I’m hoping our homework paid off for our clients.” “Only if they listened to you Den. Some folks have a mind of their own.” “Yeah they do and they take their own chances. We can’t make them listen to us.” We got tarsus escort on our way and got the jogging out of the way and after my shower, I almost felt alive. Soon enoough Al and I were off to the office. For whatever reason, Al had his head on a swivel today. “You expecting trouble after yesterday?” “I almost always expect trouble Dennis.” We made it to the office without any problems and it seemed that almost everyone was there a bit early this morning. I found Stan riight away. “How do the overnights look?” “No large reaction on the foreign markets as yet. After hours trading was a little busier than usual but nothing large. We should probably have a pretty standard day.” “We can only hope.” I went to my desk beside Angelo and plugged in. “Shouldn’t be as bad as yesterday Mr Sawyer, but it is probably going to be another rough day.” “Hey 8 hours of sleep, I’m ready to take on the world …..maybe.” “Just hang in Mr Sawyer.” The bell sounded and not a single phone rang. I picked up to see if there was a dail tone and there was. I turned and looked at Angelo. “Wait for it.” It took about 20 minutes before the phones started lighting up. From then on out it was constant calls right up until 4:30. They weren’t as intense as the calls yesterday, but a fair amount of business was done today. Al again kept a sharp lookout all of the way home, but nothing happened. Supper was soon had and we settled in for the night. Thursday the 2nd of July dawned bright and we were soon enough done with our jogging and it was off to the office. I once again cornered Stan for the overnight report and things were still quiet. So another day was gotten through with a minimum of angst. When we got home supper was just about ready and as we were sitting down, there was a loud series of pops from the street. Al was on his feet and moving to the front of the house. Another series of small explosions and Al was coming back to the dinner table. “Firecrackers. It’s going to be a long weekend.” “Just the first of many I’m sure.” In fact they carried on until about 10pm. I made sure the place was locked up and Karl and I headed for bed. Friday the third and the morning routine played out as usual. Once we were in the office it was pretty clear that everyone was ready for the holiday weekend. The trading day started and it was pretty slow after the last two days. It stayed that way for most of akdeniz escort the day. “Hoilday weekend Fridays usually tend to be slow Mr Sawyer. Take the time to get your weekly investment report together.” “Blast, with the week we were having I haven’t paid much attention to it.” I went and reviewed my imaginary investments and found out that I hadn’t suffered any over the week and that I would still have made a fair amount of money. I printed it out along with what few notes I had and presented it to Angelo. “Looks like you didn’t suffer to much from the inattention Mr Sawyer, but I wouldn’t make it a habit of just letting things slide.” “I usually don’t Mr Terrentollo. I’ll keep a closer watch next week.” 4:30 finally appeared on the clock and people quickly got themselves on their way home, me included. Again the evening was punctuated by a good many fire crackers and bottle rockets and the like. They died out around 10 once again and Karl and I were soom enough crashed out as well. The 4th dawned bright and clear and we got our jogging in. It being a holiday we didn’t go over to Edgeton today. We spent most of it right at the pool. We did head over to Karls for both lunch and dinner, both being cookouts. We gave serious consideration to going to watch the local fireworks display, but that made Al a bit uncomfortable. We ended up watching the annual broadcast from Boston with the Pops and their fireworks display. Sunday was spent pretty much the same way. People used up whatever left over fireworks they had and again things quieted down about 10. Monday morning and the routine picked up once again. Angelo and I worked the clients all day. It wasn’t hectic but we kept busy. Prices on anything related to Teramedies Industries remained pretty flat even almost a week later. Hopefully we had helped our clients dodge the bullet on that one. 4:30 finally rolled around and folks started closing down to go home. I stopped for my end of day check in with Stan. “Quieter than I expected it to be. Looks like whatever ripples the whole Teramides thing is going to cause have played themselves out.” “You don’t believe that any more than I do Stan. We’re going to have to be on our toes for at least the rest of the summer. They had long term commitments that still have to be meant. When those come due, and if there’s no other action taken by them or the other parties, I’m betting there will be quite a few ripples.” “You are undoubtedly right Dennis and we’ll cross those bridges when we come to them.” Just a note so you folks don’t think I’ve abandoned you. I’m hitting the road for a couple of weeks and will loikely not have net access. I should post another chapter around 6/24. Everyone be safe Mark
